Rikesh “Thunder” Patel brings more than 15 years of hands-on ownership, operations, investment, and disposition experience to commercial real estate. Having grown up in the hospitality industry, Rikesh understands commercial property from an owner’s perspective—not simply as a transaction.

Throughout his career, Rikesh and his family have owned, operated, and sold hotel properties affiliated with major brands including IHG, Choice Hotels, Wyndham, Best Western, G6 Hospitality, and others. That experience gives him a practical understanding of hotel operations, financial performance, franchise relationships, property improvement plans, capital expenditures, and the challenges owners face when deciding whether to hold, reposition, refinance, or sell an asset.

Today, Rikesh specializes in hospitality, retail, multifamily, and investment real estate, with a particular focus on hotel and motel acquisitions and dispositions throughout Alabama and the Southeast. He works with property owners, private investors, hotel operators, family offices, and buyers seeking both marketed and off-market opportunities.

His approach is built around relationships, confidentiality, and understanding the numbers behind the real estate. Whether representing an owner preparing for a sale or helping an investor evaluate an acquisition, Rikesh brings the perspective of someone who has personally sat on the ownership side of the table.

Rikesh is a University of Alabama graduate and has remained actively involved in the hospitality and business community through organizations including the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). His industry experience also includes previous board service with the Alabama Restaurant & Hospitality Association and Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports.
